An Abundant Life
Scripture: John 10:10
“The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Last week on Faith for Today, we talked about keeping our focus on Jesus.
Today, I want to continue that thought, because there is something that happens when we take our eyes off Jesus: we become vulnerable to the thief.
Jesus said, “The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.”
The thief wants to steal our peace.
He wants to steal our joy.
He wants to steal our hope.
He wants to destroy our confidence in God.
And if we let him, he can get us so distracted by everything happening around us that we forget who is standing beside us.
